This unit starts with some exemplary case study projects. After looking into their architectural strategies, students are asked to design a house for one person in the contained, urban context. With their final project they are required to break their perfect house and design a house extension. The first project aims to develop student skills in architectural thinking. The second and third third project aim to develop student skills in the interpretation of architectural strategies. Together they teach elementary tools for the production of architectural ideas.
